Douglas Walch is president of U.S. Energy Development Corporation. Mr. Walch joined U.S. Energy in 1983 as a geophysicist, where he was responsible for the company’s geophysical efforts as well as geological studies, well logging and sampling. In 1990, he was promoted to exploration manager and in 1993 he was promoted to vice-president of exploration. Doug became President in 1997 and takes a hands-on approach in overseeing all phases of the business including geology, lease acquisition, finance and marketing.
Under Doug’s leadership, U.S. Energy has established drilling operations throughout 8 states & Canada and has grown to over 85 employees. The company is currently ranked among the Top 50 Independent Oil & Gas Drillers in the United States and is one of the most active drillers in both New York & Pennsylvania.
Doug is well recognized by his peers in the oil & gas industry and is currently a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, The Society of Exploration Geophysicists, Buffalo Association of Professional Geologists (Past President), The Houston Geological Society and The Pittsburgh Association of Petroleum Geologists. Mr. Walch received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geophysics and is a Certified Professional Geologist in the state of Pennsylvania. |
